Cluny Farm had their annual AGM on Saturday evening – followed by what we call “our Residents’ party” – what a fabulous event.

On Thursday all the Residents went for a haircut sponsored by Strands Hair Salon in Vorna Valley to make sure they all look at their best. Care Workers worked hard all week with the planning and eventually the preparation of the food. They always go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. The men on the Farm made sure everything was spotless around the venue. On Saturday afternoon before the big event, two of our neighbours Dalene Joubert and Rhoda Purnell spent hours doing our Residents’ hair and make up for the big occasion. They all looked stunning after the Care Workers assisted them with dressing up to the nines. Part of the meeting entailed Beverley van Schalkwyk receiving an award for being a Resident for 25 years and James Orr for being a Resident for an unbelievable 50 years – and he is still going strong. After the delicious supper prepared by our Care Workers and Biryani sponsored and prepared by Nirri Ranchod, one of our dear friends, Residents proceeded to the entertainment sponsored by Marisa Lawrence and Lara Venables. They danced throughout the evening with family and friends and had loads of fun. Thank you to all our Board Members, Staff, Family, Friends and all our sponsors for another successful event.
