Two of our Board Members, (Caroline van Rooyen & Michele Higginson) who also have family members residing at Cluny Farm decided to spoil them for the day.

They have arranged a big bus to take all the Residents and staff to Irene Homes’ Fete on the public holiday.

Residents were waiting in anticipation as the bus arrived to transport them to the Fete. Everyone was just as excited about the bus ride as they were about the outing.

Once they have arrived, there was no stop at them tucking into the hamburgers, hotdogs, cool drink etc. which was on sale as well as spending their own money on the variety of stalls available. There were plenty to choose from which ranged from jewellery, watches, handbags, wallets, cosmetics and much more.

Then they were entertained with singing and a DG who played music for them to dance to. They had so much fun.

By around 2pm Residents were starting to tire out and got ready to return to the Farm again – much excited for another bus ride. They all had a fabulous day and wanted to express their appreciation.
